17 years ago, I unofficially embarked with Clive Agran UK Golf Monthly columnist on a program to get his handicap down from 18 to single figures in 12 months. The idea behind it was, if you give the average golfer every conceivable assistance, can he dramatically reduce his handicap?

"With the help and support of Britain Golf Monthly, Clive had lessons from a top coach, had customized equipment, a sports psychologist was appointed, he practiced three times a week and played at least twice a week. His efforts were written up each month in the magazine and the series “Single Figures or Bust” was extremely popular with the readers. Clive just managed to get his handicap down to nine a week before the end of his year, and I was proud to have played a significant part in his achievement as back then Online coaching, as CaddiePlayer, was just starting ."

Could “Single Figures or Bust” be achieved with a beginner super senior with unlimited funding?

So, on we started December 13, 2015 from UAE to Switzerland to UAE and Thailand, from the “D to the A” Swing* with in between countless hours of Golf Channel watching "Lydia Ko" and thinking after all this game is not so hard.

Having the opportunity to journey coaching over 3 calendar year with unlimited budget was quite a life time experience. During our 60 hours per month program we did it all private/best and the pinnacle of it was to bring on board world class 3.500 USD an hour teacher. Having private one of the most famous teacher in the World was quite an experience…. My personal highlight beeing his “Chauffeur” back to his 5 stars Hotel. As a conclusion he quoted to us: “Golf is a big pie, the Swing is a big piece of the Pie but it’s not the all pie > golf is a work in progress inch by inch, don’t push to hard”.

At the end what I found, is that pushing too hard it was, and the billion neurons billionaire got busted….I just arrive in France, Burgundy, CaddiePlayer Center Chailly where you welcome to eat our gourmet chef sweet pie and play easy golf.

Until next time #IamCaddiePlayer Founder Stéphane in France, Burgundy, Chailly
