Senior Baradie wins first Swiss Pro Series with SwingScore65

About Karim El Baradie

Karim El Baradie has been a Swiss PGA member since 1982. After studying to become an engineer in electronics, he changed his mind and decided to become a golf professional. After becoming an assistant golf professional in 1983, he became a playing professional. At the end of his first year as a player he won his first out of four Swiss PGA Championship titles. Other wins and one Challenge Tour title (Interlaken Open 1988) would follow. He represented Switzerland in two World Cups (1988-1989) and in six Dunhill Cups (1986-1991), beating Gary Player on the Old Course in 1991 (Medal-Match Play). A serious bicycle accident in 1992 ended his playing career, and he turned to teaching. He has been teaching golf ever since in Switzerland. He has been a member of the Swiss PGA teaching commission for more than 10 years. From 2008 to 2013, he revived his engineering studies, and worked as an advisor and testing machine designer/builder in a new golf technology in development.

About Swiss Pro Series

The Swiss Pro Series was started by Swiss PGA member Gavin Healey. It is a series of 18 hole stroke play tournaments, with the following regulations > 1/ A professional entry fee of ch 100.  to be paid in cash before tee off  2/ It is open to amateur host club members for an entry fee of ch 250. 3/ Professionals and amateurs play from the white tees, with amateurs1+ and seniors playing from yellow tees; 4/ Entries close Friday before the tournament at 8.00am, 5/ Start times will be drawn and posted Saturday before the tournament at 12.00pm, 6/ All entry money and 75% of sponsorship to be paid out in prize money, amateurs to receive Fidetra gift voucher equivalent in value, 7/ Breakdown : 1st 30% 2nd 20% 3rd 15% 4th, 5th 10% 6th, 7th, 8th 5%, 8/ Entry fee to be paid if withdrawal within 24hr of tee time. > https://www.swissproseries.ch/

The SwingScore is terminology data created by SwissPGA member Stéphane Barras, founder of CaddiePlayer and currently a coach on the European & LPGA Tours.
