Student Emiliano Grillo 2014*, to qualify for PGA Tour

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I met Argentinian Emiliano Grillo during the Desert Classic Dubai 2014. At that time Emiliano’s putting wasn’t up to the standard of an Elite Tour Pro and was effecting his confidence. After doing the CaddiePlayer Putting Test (Today so called the PuttZones Test) I notify adjustments to be made and with a little lucky breaks Emiliano’s performance instantly broke through to finish runner up at the Dubai Desert Classic 2014. From January to May 2014 Emiliano Grillo was my student and since his career has boosted and probably to date, the Player who has broken records as most Birdies, most Lead and  other…

Quote from Emiliano Grillo 09/02/2014:

The different zones helped me to think "bigger" instead of focusing in a certain distance”

*Emiliano Grillo was the first beneficiary of the “CaddiePlayer Protocol”. The CaddiePlayer Protocol is the ending result of my Putting research that was published in the International Journal of Golf Science (2012). To Optimize the CaddiePlayer Protocol, the player need to commit to a procedure that last for a period of minimum 10 tournaments. During this period CaddiePlayer collect, analyze and benchmark hundreds of Data and I go myself on selected tournament site to further assist. Doing this process over and over positively enhance “the Working Memory” of the “Player” as a result open new door for performances.

In 2015, European Tour Player “Raphael Jacquelin” is following a similar protocol. To date CaddiePlayer account about 550 registers. Among them Elites Caddies, Coach and Players.

CaddiePlayer Jakub Uher Maximize Data Collection

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

D+D Real Czech Masters, Prague

I met Jakub Uher in the 2014 LET in Pilsen, my first venue to Czech Republic. Jakub is a weekend golfer of HCP 6, he is also a gentleman Caddie as well a member of the Czech Republic Caddies Association. In Pilsen, also home of the well-known Pilsner Beer, Jakub was the Caddie of Victoria Lovelady, a Brazilian Proette trying to qualify for Rio2016 but can’t afford a full time Caddie.

After I introduce “CaddiePlayerBenefits”, Jakub decided to have a try. Since, he has entered stats of his rounds and has become the official Czech Republic “CaddiePlayerAgent”. As coming back to Czech Republic was part of my 2015 plan, Jakub kindly offered his hospitality so I got the privilege to stay in Jakub’s parents' flat on the hill side of Prague on the way to the “Albatross” course, home of the 2015 D+D Real Czech Masters.

Jakub was not only the perfect host/guide to take me to his favourite restaurants as well to invite me to play Golf Club Prague, a 9 holes public course constructed back in the 70's during the Communist Time, but Jakub was also the perfect organizer/introducer for CaddiePlayer Czech Golf market of around 50’000 players.

Thanks to Jakub effort and connections, I could meet Petr Mruzek, a Founder of the PGA of Czech Republic, whom I probably crossed 25 years ago in some tournaments in Switzerland and who’s Son Filip, now a Pro, was in the Field of 10 Czech invited by the Promoter Mister Dedek. After 30 minutes of Introduction, 10 minutes of CaddiePlayer Instruction and a Printed CaddiePlayer Stats Card, Petr was on his way to follow his son and ultimately record a 3 under par 69 that made the highlight of the Czech Republic news, as the last time a Czech made the cut on the European Tour was back in 1994.

Wedge use and Motivation

What I can say after receiving Filip data is that the number of time Filip use his Wedge to go for the Green in Regulation was above the standard of the best players in the World! Since I am collecting Data thru CaddiePlayer I have notice that there is an X Factor number “WedgeUse” and “WedgeProximity” that need to match in order to optimize chances to score around 68.

As I was promoting CaddiePlayer to the D+D Real Czech Masters, Jakub took a week off from his regular job as a Medical/Science events organizer in order to dedicate his week to Caddie! But Jakub did not stop there, believe it or not, but after his player missed the cut, instead of taking off for a relax weekend, Jakub agreed to replace another Caddie who had to go somewhere and carry on for 36 holes more! On top of that Jakub collected and entered into CaddiePlayer “software” all shots Data not only from the two players he caddied for (Adam Gee and Jose Manuel Lara) but also from some of the other players paired with, including tournament winners Johan Edfors, Roope Kakko and David Lipsky. All together this is a collection of 7 players, for a total of 10 rounds, 700 shots! This is quite an achievement!

By doing this Jakub is teaching us a great lessons: When you are really motivated and believe in something there is no excuse not to do it. Since I have launched CaddiePlayer 2 years ago I crossed so many players and caddies that want to make it to the top of Golf but only a few are ready to make the effort of Data collecting and this goes to my great concern. Are those Players and Caddies just waiting for their lucky week or?

Thank you Jakub for your great dedication to CaddiePlayer! CaddiePlayer is proud to have you on board.

Until next time #IamCaddiePlayerFounder Stéphane

  Jakub's Testimony

"I was very glad to meet Stephane and discover his CaddiePlayer statistics analyzer last year.Since playing and following baseball as a teenager I find sport statistics extremely interesting (if you don't agree, watch the "Moneyball" movie).

No doubt that the role of statistics in understanding and improving one's golf game is crucial. However, in order to improve the game it is important to focus and analyze the right stats and this is exactly what CaddiePlayer can do - instead of simply counting fairways and greens hit and putts made, it clearly identifies the causes of one's results and provides a perfect feedback to the player, no matter if he/she is a tour pro or an handicap 5-10 amateur."
