Je suis Caddie - I am a Caddie - #IamACaddie

Rotterdam KLM Open Week

As Raphael Jacquelin last putted for his 66 Sunday round to finish T12 at the Omega European Masters (My Home Town), I took off Crans-Montana at 18h00.

After a 4 hours drive I arrive to Castle/Hotel Chailly - France (CaddiePlayer Home) where I spend the night at room 11. As it was my last day of 2016 in Chailly most of my Monday was packing and meetings with a last hour golf lesson to the CEO Miss Babonnet. After a 30 minutes Taxi to Dijon Train Station I embark to the TGV direction Paris to take the 11PM, 25 euro 6 hours buse to Amesterdam where at 5h00 AM, I took another Train to Rotterdam to check In the local Caddies Hotel Erasmus from where I am now writing.

As we say: all roads lead to Rome. There is several way to reach Caddies and Players of the next Tour event! Overall it took me around 12 hours to reach my destination. During this 12 hours, I saw many things and people. For all these people Sunday/Monday/Tusday have a lots of different meaning.

Where ever you are have a good "Meaning day! :-) #IamCaddiePlayer, #IamStéphaneBarras

OMEGA EUROPEAN MASTERS 2015 WINNER DANNY WILLETT GETS BEHIND 2016’s NOSTALGIC CAMPAIGN TO CELEBRATE 70 YEARS AT CRANS-MONTANA

2016 is the 70th year that the OMEGA European Masters will have been hosted at Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre in Crans Montana, Switzerland, making it the longest running golf tournament at the same venue in Europe and second in the world after the Masters at Augusta National. This significant landmark will be celebrated across dedicated digital channels, including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, in a campaign that will glorify golfing memories since 1939 –the #GreatGolfTimes.

The #GreatGolfTimes campaign will commemorate the rich history around the tournament and the game of golf by curating a timeline that will exhibit the milestones, the records and the moments that have shaped them both. It won’t just be about showcasing the moments of glory, the iconic challenges or the revered heroes; it will also look at the sportsmanship, the skill, the fashion and the beauty associated with the game. As part of the campaign, the pro golfers playing the tournament this year, including Lee Westwood, Matt Fitzpatrick and last year’s winner Danny Willett, will share intimate memories from their past and fans will be encouraged to share their golfing moments.

Danny Willett explains “The OMEGA European Masters is one of the most historic events on the golfing circuit and I’m looking forward to taking part again this year, their 70th year at Crans-sur-Sierre. 2016’s Great Golf Times campaign will be a nostalgic one for us all and it’s a great opportunity to share some personal memories whilst learning even more about this tournament and the game of golf.”

Stephane Barras member at Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre and Founder of CaddiePlayer: “I am proud to be associated to 70 years at Crans-Montana as the legacy of my ancestors. I am honored to see my Family Name #Barras as part of the campaign "PLAYERS WHO MADE HISTORY". I invite everyone to come to Crans-Montana and share another #GreatGolfTimes.

Olympic Rio 2016 ends with "Par354" Medals stories ...

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Crans-Montana, Switzerland

Thanks to Shot Tracker, FaceBook, Twitter and more social media, I was able to follow 33 Olympians connected with the "Par354" project.  Among them two got a Medal. (Gold for Justin Rose and Bronze for ShanShan Feng).

The "Par354" project was initiated in China back in 2009 when I was fortunate to be invited by its God Father "Zhang Lian Wei" to first be his coach and later his head of Junior Academy. This is when I got to meet and collaborate with Miss Jennifer Lee founder and CEO of the CLPGA.  Jennifer understood very quickly that in order to leverage the chances for a 2016 Rio Golf Game Medal, special efforts should be made into developping Ladies golf. By creating the CLPGA China Tour, Miss Lee encourage lots of Chinese Ladies to consider turning pro with the hope of representing their country at the International Level.

From 2009 through 2014, I was coaching and following several CLPGA members where ShanShan Feng, a LPGA member since 2008, would compete occasionnally. ShanShan Feng extraordinary rythm and routine proved to be what it takes to win a medal >  http://clpga.org/index.php/Home/Index/newsDetail/news_id/5016/type/2/p/1.html#picture
